Reflection/ Statistical Journal

Statistics can help us manage how much we spend each month, how much we save or find out if your grades at school are improving or becoming worse. Statistics are rather useful for many working parents and all students of different schools. Examples of statistics being used in daily life might be at the stock market. Something like the picture shown below. The first time we learnt statistics during e-learning week shows us how a simple yet accurate graph could help the taxi companies. So without statistics, it would be very hard to take down information and sort them out correctly. However, even if is useful, if it is not done correctly. When the statistical reason involved is false or misapplied, this constitutes a statistical fallacy. The false statistics trap can be quite damaging to the quest for knowledge. For example, in medical science, correcting a falsehood may take decades and cost lives.Misuses can be easy to fall into. Professional scientists, even mathematicians and professional statisticians, can be fooled by even some simple methods, even if they are careful to check everything. Scientists have been known to fool themselves with statistics due to lack of knowledge of probability theory and lack of standardization of their tests.

The places I've been in Singapore during the holidays.
Funan- When I was in the shopping centre, I bought some console games for my friends at my church.
Marina Bay Sands- My family and I stayed there for three days and two nights. We went swimming, visit the nearby mall and enjoy the view.
Marina Barrage- I visited this place with my best friends during the holidays so that we could find out what was the place used for and why while enjoying the breathtaking view.

The link to the map is above.

2nd post

When I first created this blog, I was surprised at how easy it was to create the blog and post in the blog. I was excited as I never did more than just sending e-mails and posting videos but now I could now express my happiness here. It is my first time blogging and I have finally found something I could do other than watching television or playing game consoles.
Blogging can be part of our learning device @ SST as you can share something which is useful and that anybody could see it and even learn interesting facts from it and even share it on their blogs so that other people could see and learn from it. Through blogging and knowing each of other fellow pupil's URL blog website we can learn from each other and how they feel about a particular thing and if its something negative, we can comment on their blog to suggest something to solve their problem or comfort them.

Blogging- A new activity to do.
